Vetiver is a whisper here — a little makes it smell like soil, too much like mud.

Cautions for room & linen spray
- Oxidizes with age — old oil is more likely to sensitize; store cool and dark (Bergamot, Grapefruit, Fir Needle, Cypress)
- Caution around pets (especially cats and birds) — don't diffuse in their space (Bergamot, Grapefruit, Fir Needle, Cypress)
- Fades quickly — weak in cold-process soap or at hot throw (Bergamot, Grapefruit)
Ideas that use it
A whole-house scent map
Choose one family per zone so rooms flow into each other instead of fighting at the doorways.
New-home basket
Everything a new house needs to smell like home in the first week, plus the cleaners to get there.
In-the-pot swirl soap
The easiest cold-process swirl: pour colors back into the main pot and pour it all into the mold at once.
Decorated pillar candles
Press flat decorations into the outside of wide pillars, where the flame won't reach them.
