White Sage
Salvia apiana
Sharp, camphor-herbal and resinous with a dry woody edge. It's like crushed smudge-bundle leaves but greener, almost eucalyptus-like.
No special cautions at normal use. It is camphor-rich, so keep it moderate.

A little lore
White sage grows wild only in southern California and northern Mexico, and overharvesting for smudge bundles has become a conservation concern.
